Coopers 62

'62' is a reference to 1862, the year when coopers brewing was formed. The chairmen and marketing director, Glen Cooper states 'We were looking for a top-end pilsner replacement for Grolsch.' The green, embossed Coopers 62 bottle was designed to look like a Grolsch equivalent. When poured this is a golden coloured beer with a two finger head and very little aroma is evident. It is a bohemian style pilsner with a medium body, light in flavour but pleasant and easy to drink. A smooth, crisp taste that falls immensely short of a Grolsch. A little more bitterness and perhaps more body would be nice.

Verdict - Good
